Yesterday we bottled 14 bottles of our very own estate grown Chardonnay planted in 2017. Harvested in 2019 it was just a partial crop. We had lost some of it to powdery mildew.
After harvest, crush, initial So2, fermentation, adding oak chips, MLF and several rackings and some unattended time in the cellar while we spent our winter in Arizona .. we somehow managed to eek out some pretty decent Chardonnay. At least we think so.
